Changelog
What has shipped on the platform, most recent first.
August 2026
Backends run out of the box
- Generated apps now ship with working server logic: declared functions, scheduled jobs and webhook handlers are compiled during generation and executed as part of the automatic test run — no follow-up build needed.
- Chat edits keep the backend live: adding or changing a function in Studio chat compiles it automatically at the end of the turn.
- New function health panel in the App Hub (Connections tab): compile state, runs and errors over the last 24 hours, per function.
- Scheduled jobs register on publish and are monitored nightly; cron runs feed the same health view.
- Publishing reports anything declared-but-inert as clear warnings, on every surface (Studio, chat, MCP).
- AI usage is now metered per organisation and visible on the Portal usage panel.
Late July 2026
Public face, access control and app curation
- New documentation section covering every surface of the platform.
- Per-user access control: organisation admins decide who can open Studio, Portal, Workspace and Nibor OS, per member.
- Nibor OS App Store: pin apps to the dock, hide apps from the desktop, preferences follow you across devices.
- Exports now ship the full production server logic, and exporting requires ownership or organisation membership.
- Chat reliability: the assistant always answers, asks before acting on ambiguous requests, and recovers from connection drops.
Mid July 2026
Nibor OS, Vault and bring-your-own AI
- Nibor OS launched: a web desktop where your organisation's apps run as windows, with dock, files and single sign-on.
- Vault: every organisation gets its own private file-storage app out of the box.
- Organisations can bring their own AI key, including EU-hosted providers. Optional, never required.
- Magic-link sign-in flows completed end to end.
Early July 2026
Security hardening and quality enforcement
- Full security review completed: row-level security verified on every generated app, tenant isolation machine-enforced.
- Routing correctness is now validated automatically at generation, edit and runtime.
- Per-app REST API, API keys with scopes, webhooks and an MCP endpoint for AI agents on every app.
